1. Maintenance & Playability (Setups)

 

Basic Maintenance: € 45,-
(Cleaning, fretboard oiling, lubricating tuners, and new strings)

Standard Classical Setup: € 70,-
(Basic + adjusting action, neck relief, and nut/saddle slots for optimal playability)

Concert Setup: € 110,-
(Standard setup + high-gloss fret polishing and precision nut optimization)


2. Nut & Saddle (Tone Improvement)

 

Handmade Bone Nut: € 60,-
(Solid bone, hand-slotted for improved resonance and string spacing)

Handmade Bone Saddle: € 50,-
(Solid bone, compensated for perfect intonation and clarity)

Full Bone Upgrade (Nut & Saddle): € 100,-
(The ultimate tonal upgrade for classical guitars) 


3. Fretwork (Playing Comfort)

 

Sharp Fret-End Treatment: € 40,-
(Removing protruding edges caused by dryness for a smooth feel)

Fret Level, Crown & Polish: € 125,-
(Leveling and polishing worn frets to eliminate buzz and rattles)

Full Refret (Nylon): € 300,-
(Complete new set of frets, including precision leveling of the fingerboard) 


4. Woodwork & Construction (Luthier Work)

 

Loose Bridge Reglue: €95
(Cleaning and regluing)

Soundboard Crack Repair: € 65,-
(Gluing and reinforcing cracks)

Loose Bracing Repair (Internal): € 65,-
(Internally gluing rattling or detached braces)

Headstock Break – Simple Repair: €85
(Clean repair of a minor headstock break without additional reinforcement)

Headstock Break – Complex Repair: €175
(Structural repair of a broken headstock, including reinforcement)


5. Hardware & Finishing

 

Machine Head Installation: € 40,-
(Installing new classical tuners, excluding the tuner set)

Lacquer Touch-up: € 85,-
(Localized repair of minor scratches or small dents)

Pickup Installation: € 95,-
(Internal piezo or transducer systems for classical guitar) 


6. Lacquer Work & Restoration (French Polish)

French polishing is a labor-intensive process using shellac to ensure the most natural sound projection.

French Polish Soundboard: € 350,-
(Traditional hand-applied shellac for maximum resonance)

French Polish Back: € 275,-
(Refinishing the back of the instrument to its original luster)

French Polish Sides: € 225,-
(Restoring the sides of the guitar)

French Polish Neck: € 175,-
(Hand-finished shellac for a natural, fast feel)

Full Body French Polish: € 850,-
(Complete restoration of the entire instrument using traditional methods)

GOOD TO KNOW
Guitars are like people: every instrument is unique. For specific repair and restoration work, I charge an hourly rate of € 65,- (incl. 21% VAT, excl. parts). The prices listed above are a reliable indication, but the final cost depends on the specific condition of your guitar. I always take the time to evaluate your instrument with you to determine what is truly needed.

WARRENTY & SERVICE
I’m only satisfied when you are. That’s why all my work comes with a warranty. If you find that something needs a slight adjustment within 4 weeks of delivery, I will take care of it completely free of charge. (Please note: normal wear and tear on parts like strings is not covered by this warranty).
